Dan Szymborski is the founder of the ZiPS statistic. He's great with projections, and he has all the data. So, that begs the question -- what does the data say about the Royals' playoff odds?

We discuss that, plus, how the hell one goes about creating a sabermetric.

Are the Royals a team of destiny? Plus, ESPN makes a fool of themselves while attempting to talk about Michael Sam, and the Missouri offense is going to come down to one thing... And it's not the quarterback.

All that, plus Dan Szymborski of ESPN.com joined us to discuss the Royals chances of making the playoffs.

Matt Miller joined Brandon Kiley on The Morning Blitz to discuss realistic expectations for the Chiefs. Is the offensive line really as bad as it looks?

Plus, what are the Rams going to do with the quarterback situation going forward?

Brandon discussed the unit on the Mizzou football team that has the potential to be elite; it's not what you might expect. Plus, what the hell are the Rams gonna do now that Sam Bradford is out for the season (again)? Are expectations for Mauk out of reach?

Plus, our guy, Matt Miller of Bleacher Report joined us to discuss realistic expectations for the Chiefs and what the Rams should do with Bradford being out for the year.

8:00-8:15 -- Does Mizzou have a problem at QB?

8:20-8:30 -- The issues in Ferguson run deep. The killing of an unarmed black man is only part of the story.

8:35-8:45 -- Mizzou was ranked in the AP Poll. But does that matter?

8:50-9:00 -- The Royals keep on rollin' and the national analysts are starting to pile on the praise. Keep it coming.

August 08, 2014 08:22 AM PDT

8:00-8:15 -- Power 5 Autonomy, and what it means for Mizzou
The Power 5 conferences now have autonomy from the rest of the NCAA, meaning they are able to make some rules that will ONLY apply to the power 5 conferences. One such rule could have a huge impact for Mizzou, and I'm completely in favor of it... Even if it makes me heartless.

8:20-8:30 -- Who's gonna step up at WR for Mizzou this year?
I talked with Mizzou WR Coach Pat Washington about what his expectations are for the MU wide receivers this year, and I came away feeling like I had an idea of what roles to expect for certain players. You might be surprised by a couple.

8:35-8:50 -- It's time to go all-in on the Royals... Plus, my top takeaways from Chiefs Pre-Season game number one
Why aren't you invested in the Royals yet? And did you see De'Anthony Thomas? Dude's gonna be good. Unfortunately, there's one player in particular that didn't look so great.

August 07, 2014 06:42 AM PDT

8:00-8:10 -- Mizzou's defense looks good in camp
This defense is more athletic than any defense I've seen at MU in years. Plus, why I think the success of the team will come down to Charles Harris.

8:15-8:25 -- KC back in playoffs?
The Royals are a 1/2 game out of the playoffs. They've won 11 of 14. Are Royals fans on board yet? If not, why?

8:30-8:40 -- We change rules because we're scared
From the Right to farm law to catcher contact in baseball to the pace of play legislation in college football, and including the reaction to the first female coach in the NBA yesterday, fear is the number one indicator of how we legislate our sports, and our lives.

8:45-9:00 -- One-on-one interviews
My one-on-one interviews with Connor McGovern, Sean Culkin & Charles Harris. Plus, why I believe these three players are the key to Mizzou's success in 2014.

Chris Kamler (@TheFakeNed) joined us to discuss #SungWooToKC
